2017 Mazda Mazda3 GS

A warmer welcome to your daily drive

The 2017 Mazda3 GS has a few thoughtful ways to make your daily drive more inviting, starting with standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Cool mornings return every year; your hands and your front passenger might as well get a warmer welcome. This four-door sedan seats five and offers a 351-litre trunk for work bags, weekly groceries or luggage when the weekend takes you out of town.

Under the hood, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine produces 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The 2017 Mazda3 GS combines regular gasoline, an automatic gearbox and a sedan layout in one straightforward package. If your next car needs to handle the weekday routine as well as a change of scenery, this is a combination worth trying for yourself.

Bluetooth audio and an auxiliary input let you bring your own soundtrack along. The mechanical setup includes independent front and rear suspension, with a multilink arrangement at the rear, plus four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. Listed fuel consumption is 8.4 L/100 km in the city, 6.4 on the highway and 7.5 combined. Those figures give you useful points of comparison as you consider how your usual routes might fit into the picture.
